It has only taken me a week to fill you in on Showcase Ireland 2016 which finished last Wednesday!. It seems that the dreaded January/February downtime is going to be more uptime than I thought. My in-house supply of notebooks is coming in handy for my daily lists following a great show at the RDS.

This year, my stand was subsidised by Clare Local Enterprise Office and I was alongside three other great new Clare businesses, Celtic Fusion, Avocado&Co and Airmid. (On an aside, I absolutely love Airmids Cederwood & Eucalyptus Lotion Bars…full of Irish beeswax, coconut oil, Vit E and lots of other gorgeous natural stuff!.). I have figured out after two years of running a homeware and gift business that being organised and getting your ‘spot’ right in the RDS is essential….corner facing wall and bins last year springs to mind!.

This year, I met so many new buyers and importantly managed to get plenty of exciting orders. That aside, what I really enjoyed about this year’s show was that I am beginning to get to know a bunch of exhibitors as well as buyers and while we are all involved in these shows to grow our businesses, there were plenty of laughs echoing around the RDS too.
