I stumbled across this beautiful building while visiting stockists in Cork last week. After realising that it was a restaurant, I persuaded myself that I was feeling a little peckish and popped in for a snack and a snoop. The Church Restaurant on Bridge Street, Skibbereen is a converted Methodist Church which held weekly church services up until 2003. The stain glass windows both upstairs and downstairs are iridescent and the attention to detail in the interior such as the artwork, compliments the historic building. As for the food, well I had a quick chowder and homemade brown seeded bread which was delicious. I would love to try out some other more substantial dishes so I might just happen across this gem again soon. Opening hours are Mon-Thur: 9am – 6pm; Fri-Sat: 9am – 9pm; Sun 12pm – 8pm.
