Killarney Glamping
My first glamping experience (or clamping as my parents called it) in Killarney for my birthday last month was a favourite. I have roughed it in the past and slept directly under the stars in the Thar Desert in Rajasthan. But I am old now so the glam in the camping has a new found appeal. Roasting hot showers, spotless toilets/kitchen and all the essential utensils were at the ready for us at Grove Lane Glamping. We dined al fresco but also in La Rambla Tapas Restaurant in Killarney town which was delish. We took in a bit of Killarney National Park, Torc Waterfall and checked out Sealed with Irish Love stock at Avoca (Molls Gaps). Before we hit home we even took on Carrauntoohil (big eye roll). After one too many burgers and barbequed sausage, I considered feigning gastroenteritis but we made it and it was definitely worth the effort at the top as the fog cleared. The weather was on our side for all of our time in Killarney so we got lucky but I think it is worth the risk. I would definitely recommend Grove Lane Glamping for a couple of carefree days.
